Pet Policy

At the Gannett Peak Lodge, well-mannered dogs are welcome to enjoy the wide-open spaces of Pinedale with their owners, and we are pleased to offer a Doggy Welcome Kit that includes clean protective sheets to help safeguard furnishings, a water bowl, waste bags, and a treat after a day outdoors; out of respect for our historic lodge and the comfort of future guests, we are only able to accommodate dogs, and cats or other pets are not a good fit for the property.

Bringing Your Four-Legged Travel Companion?
To keep everyone comfortable, guests traveling with dogs are kindly asked to follow the guidelines below.

1

A non-refundable pet fee of $25 for the first night and $15 per additional night applies. Additional cleaning or repair fees may be assessed at management's discretion if excessive pet hair or pet-related damage is found.

2

Unannounced dogs that are not ADA-recognized service animals are subject to a penalty. Reservations with unannounced dogs may be declined, and a $75 per night penalty fee will be charged. If relocation to a designated pet-friendly accommodation is possible, any applicable rate difference for the new room category will apply.

3

For the care of our rooms, dogs must be at least 12 months of age, fully house-trained, and up to date on vaccinations. Puppies and dogs not yet fully house-trained cannot be accommodated. This age requirement does not apply to ADA-recognized service dogs.

4

Pets left unattended inside a room must be secured in a crate, and guests must notify the front desk if a pet will be left alone at any time.

For the comfort of all guests and care of the property, please clean up after your pet promptly. Pet waste must be bagged, sealed, and properly disposed of in our garbage bins behind the office building on Magnolia Street.

6

Pets should be comfortable with people and other animals passing by the rooms. Excessive barking or noise that is audible outside the room is not permitted.

7
All dogs must be leashed or otherwise physically restrained at all times when outside of the room.
8
Your assistance in keeping beds, linens, and furnishings free of pet hair is greatly appreciated and essential to our ability to continue welcoming four-legged friends.

Service Animals

Service Animals with ADA certification are allowed to accompany a guest with a reservation at no additional cost; we kindly ask you to call ahead to let us know so we can assign you a pet-friendly room. Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not recognized as service animals under the ADA and are subject to our standard dog policy.
