Higher Peaks, Longer Trails:
The "Winds"

A Wilderness Like No Other

There are places you may only visit once in a lifetime that touch the soul forever; Wyoming's Wind River Range is just such a place.

This 100-mile stretch of the Rocky Mountains is part of the 22 million-acre Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the earth's largest and last remaining intact northern zone temperate ecosystems and one of the United States' most pristine natural areas.

The Continental Divide follows The Winds, winding across Gannett Peak, Wyoming's highest mountain and one of more than 40 named peaks rising from the range. Wherever you wish to roam, we have a mountain waiting for you.

That's Wyoming For You
